Wan 2.5 is a hosted text-to-video and image-to-video option for short clips with native generated audio. On WanVideoFree, the current contract is five seconds at either 480p or 1080p for text, and five seconds at 480p for image animation. This independent site is not Alibaba's official Wan service.

When 2.5 is the right version
Choose Wan 2.5 when native audio matters but the newest 2.7 controls are unnecessary. Choose Wan 2.2 for the lowest-cost visual draft. Choose Wan 2.7 for longer duration, first/last-frame control, continuation, or video editing.
Text versus image input
Text-to-video gives the model control over composition. Image-to-video keeps more of your product, character, artwork, or first frame. For image input, avoid spending prompt space describing visible facts; specify the movement, camera, light changes, timing, and elements that must remain unchanged.
