Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 12, 2026. WanVideoFree is an independently operated AI video tool and is not Alibaba's official Wan website. This policy explains the information processed when you visit wanvideofree.com or use its generation service.
Information we process
- Account data: name, email address, profile image, sign-in provider identifiers, locale, and account security records.
- Generation data: prompts, selected model and settings, uploaded media URLs, task status, output URLs, credits charged, and provider request identifiers. Prompts and media are sent to the selected inference provider to perform the requested generation.
- Usage and device data: page paths, referrer, campaign parameters, browser/device information, approximate network information, and product events such as model selection or generation success. Product analytics are designed not to include prompts, emails, raw user IDs, or media URLs.
- Billing data: order, plan, invoice, and payment status. Payment card details are handled by the payment processor and are not stored directly by WanVideoFree.
- Abuse-prevention data: a one-way HMAC of the client IP and a one-way account-derived provider identifier. These controls support rate limiting without storing a raw IP in the generation-attempt ledger or sending a raw account ID to the inference provider.
Why we process it
We use this information to provide accounts and video generation, charge and refund credits, secure the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, process payments, respond to support requests, understand aggregate product use, and comply with applicable law.
Service providers and disclosure
Information is shared only where needed to operate the service, including hosting/database providers, AI inference providers, authentication providers, analytics providers when configured, storage providers, and payment processors. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information to comply with a valid legal request, protect users or the service, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use private prompts or uploaded media as public examples without permission.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and abuse prevention. Generated files and provider-hosted outputs may have provider-specific retention periods. No system is perfectly secure, but we use access controls, server-side secrets, encrypted transport, least-privilege credentials, and one-way identifiers to reduce exposure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. You can also sign out, avoid optional analytics through browser controls, and contact us about account deletion. We may retain limited records where required for fraud prevention, billing, or law.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their jurisdiction. Do not submit personal data or images of a child without lawful authority and appropriate consent.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the product or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated for material revisions.
